Black Star managed to win its own Electris Tournament in Mersch yesterday by beating Racing Luxembourg and Basket 98 Völklingen in the qualification round and winning the final against Esch (who previously won against US Heffingen and MJC Trier). Two week ahead of the beginning of the season, the team is on the right way, despite some difficulties in some games. Next and last practice game will be on Saturday against Walfer. In order to prepare the upcoming season, a preparation tournament will take place in Mersch. The men tournament, the Electris Challenge, will take place on 21st September.

Mike and Jarvis both landed safely in Luxembourg and started practicing with the team on the 26th of August. Black Star is pleased to announce the signing of their 2nd american player in Jarvis Williams. The 23 year old guard is 201 cm tall and comes fresh from Minnesota State University where he averaged 14.5 ppg on 50.7 % shooting and 5.5 rpg in 33 games.
