While the new season is coming up for our men and women team, the cup games for the 16th finals were drawn today in FLBB headquarters. Men team will face Racing Luxembourg in an away game, while the women team got a free pass to the next round. But first this weeks game as the season opening game for the men will have them compete against the belgian team of Arlon, PallArel Basket. We proudly announce that Milos Ristic was signed at the EU-player spot. The 1,98m tall and 28-year old Serbian can play the position 3,4 and 5. Milos played last year at Svilajnac Serbia (1Srpska league) and averaged 31,3 points, 8,2 rebounds and 5,5 assists per game and was the best scorer in Serbia. He previously played in Romania, Belarus, Serbia, Bosnia, Iceland and France, where he always was amongst the best scorers of the respective leagues.
Men Team: Mike Schumacher is transferred to Black Star Mersch as he was only on loan in Mersch last season. Tom Becker left the club for Walfer. Women Team: Ana Petrova left the club for Etzella. Lonia D´Onghia joins her on loan in Ettelbruck. The rest of the former women team stopped their career. What do you think of the season? How is the team coming along and putting everything together? Well it was a tough season but in the end, a rewarding one. Let me explain, we started out this season with 3 players who had 1st division experience and we had some very young players who need time to improve. 1. What do you think about the last season, the up and downs, and the relegation to N2? Even though we didnt have as much success as we wanted to I still enjoyed this past seson in Mersch. We experienced a lot of growing pains because we had a very young and new team that was put together. Towards the end of the season we became more comfortable with each other and I think that helped us to win some games in the playdowns.
