Hi Terry, first of all welcome to Luxembourg and the Team of Mersch. What do you think so far about Luxembourg, what are your impressions, thoughts?

Luxembourg is a very nice place. Very green and peaceful so that’s great for me. Since I’ve been here the weather has been hot and sunny also, so that makes it even better.

What is your opinion on Luxembourg Basketball, especially in comparison with your previous playing stations?

Luxembourg basketball seems very competitive. All the team’s records are close as far as win and losses so that shows it’s a very competitive league. You´re only allowed 1 or 2 imports so that shows the Lux players are better also.

What do you think of your new team and your teammates?

My teammates are a great group of hardworking guys. Everyone came in the first week ready to work and get better for the season led by Billy McDaniel, so it’s always good having a team that loves to work hard. Billy does a great job leading the team and working hard, so we just try to feed off his energy. Coach Mike Smith has done a great job with letting the guys know his expectations and getting %100 effort from the guys.

What are your expectations this season, for the team and personal?

Expectations?? It’s still early and we haven’t played a preseason game but I expect the guys to work hard in preseason training and get better everyday to prepare for the season. You can also expect a team that will fight the whole game. Personal expectations are to come in and help make this team a little better than last season. They finish tops last season so I just hope to come in and have the team pick up where they left off last season.

Do you want to say something to the fans and members of Black Star?

I just want the fans of Black Star to know I will give my all to keep this winning tradition going. We have a great group of guys and with the fans support we really look forward to having a great season this year. So we need everyone to come out and support.

Coach Mike Smith and I developed a good relationship over the summer. We had a respect for each others that made my decision to come here very easy. As a player you want to play for a coach that will give you 100% effort daily and always fights for you and I don’t think no coach is better at that than Mike. Black Star is a first class club. Starting from the president Ernest Huss down to Mr and Mrs Besenius down to coach’s wife, so it’s a real family like club.
